Last week, HUMAN Healthy Vending provided a BRAND NEW experience to a group of kids. What was it?
Last week, on May 17th, people around the world celebrated Food Revolution Day, which was originally started by nutrition activist Jamie Oliver as a way to unite communities across the world to celebrate the beautiful diversity of fresh food, share cooking skills, and gain healthful eating habits.
We were thrilled to participate in Food Revolution day by inviting celebrity chef Gino Campagna to the HUMAN Healthy Vending headquarters to teach children from our community how to cook delicious foods from scratch.
Children today are sometimes referred to as “Generation Rx” due to the escalating rates of chronic diseases they experience. Did you know that, on average, kids in the U.S. get just 3.4 hours of food and nutrition education per year?
Teaching children how to eat healthfully and providing them with access to these foods is thus not only the greatest investment we can make in their future, it’s also a revolutionary act.
Our healthy vending franchisees across the nation are a part of the food revolution everyday by bringing healthy vending and nutrition education to schools, hospitals, gyms, corporate locations and more.
