    Overview
    The vending business is ALL about cash flow. To break-even you simply need to make sure that your profits each month are greater than your payments on the machine. This isn't too hard to do! This allows individuals tight on cash to pay NO money up-front and still make good profits month over month. Therefore, you're "breaking-even" right from the get-go. However, if you do have a decent amount of liquid assets available, then it will make sense for you to purchase your h.u.m.a.n. healthy vending machines outright and up-front.   • Break-Even? How many products does one machine have to sell in order to break-even and pay for its leasing or financing costs?
    This depends on your unique leasing terms and the average amount of profit you make per vend. Let's be conservative and look at some standard numbers. If your typical machine is at a health club that operates 7 days a week and makes $1.00 on average per product sale, you'd need to sell around 7 items per day to break-even if your lease payment is $50 per week or around 6 items per day if your lease payment is $40 per week. If you're a school that is only open 5 days a week and makes $0.75 on average per product sale, you'd need to sell around 13 products per day to break-even if your lease payment is $50 per week and about 11 products per day if your lease payment is $40 per week. Pretty achievable sales numbers, huh? Anything above these numbers is pure profit!

  • Locations? How do I obtain locations for my h.u.m.a.n. healthy vending machines, what type of locations should I go after, and how does h.u.m.a.n. help me acquire locations in my geographical network?
    Your assigned h.u.m.a.n. healthy vending specialist will work hand-in-hand with you to create a location-acquisition strategy that best suits your particular scenario. We can either provide you with the necessary marketing materials to build your own location network, or for a small fee, we can set-up this location network for you. It's very important to note that h.u.m.a.n. will not approve the installation of our machines at any locations that we deem to be of low quality. We only succeed if you, our healthy vending operators, succeed, and we would rather spend more time and effort up-front obtaining the best locations available then rushing into locations which are going to be counter-productive to h.u.m.a.n.'s brand and harmful to your wallet. Remember, we will only approve machine installations at locations in which we feel will generate at least 20 vends per day.   • Products? How do I know what products to order from h.u.m.a.n., what is the average delivery time, and how much do the products cost?
    A h.u.m.a.n. healthy vending expert will work with you and any applicable person at your locations to determine what product mix will suit your various machines and locations best. With over 5 years of experience in the healthy vending business, we have a pretty good idea of what products work in what type of locations with what kind of people. But that doesn't mean we're going to give you a cookie-cutter product planogram. We work with you to gather demographic information and also, if possible, survey all of the people at your machines' locations to learn a bit more about their specific personal preferences. We'll be sure that there are products for everyone in our machines and will pay particular attention to any dietary requirements your customers may have. Before installing the machines and stocking the products at your locations, you will be required to approve and sign-off the products that will be offered through your machines.

    If a machine needs servicing and is under warranty or under the protection of a h.u.m.a.n. lease agreement, h.u.m.a.n. will utilize it's nation-wide network of trained vending professionals to service the machine as quickly as possible, typically within 24-48 hours. Upon purchasing or leasing a machine, h.u.m.a.n. will provide you with the name, phone number, and contact information of the vending service expert in your area to ensure speedy service if your machine ever needs repairing. Machine servicing is not frequent, but like any machine equipment, h.u.m.a.n. vending machines need to be "tuned-up" every once in a while over the course of a few years. Many times you can "fix" the small issues yourself, and often, after a phone call with h.u.m.a.n. or one of its partner technical experts, you'll find that your problem wasn't even a problem at all!

  • Exclusivity? If I launch h.u.m.a.n. healthy vending machines in a new geographical area does that grant me exclusivity to the particular neighborhood, city, or region?
    As long as you start-off with at least five h.u.m.a.n. healthy vending machines in your route, we grant you the exclusive rights to operate h.u.m.a.n. healthy vending machines in your particular geographical area (assuming no one else has claimed the area before you). This exclusivity lasts as long as you either i) agree to operate all new top-tier locations in your area that request h.u.m.a.n. services, or you ii) continually expand your network by mutually-agreed upon number of machines every six to twelve months. The exact size of the region is determined at the time of contract signing and completely depends on your capabilities as a vending operator. We have every reason for you to keep your exclusive rights in your area as long as you continue to promote h.u.m.a.n. and grow your vending network. We give you a first right of refusal on all new locations in your area, and only when you decline such locations do we offer them to other vending operators. It is our goal to set you up for optimal success and we'll do everything we can to ensure that this occurs.
